ROMANIA: Rompetrol estimates a net loss of around 40 million dollars in 2024

The shareholders of Rompetrol Rafinare approved, in the Ordinary General Assembly, the project of the budget of revenues and expenses for 2024, in which a net loss of 39.758 million dollars is foreseen this year, according to a report submitted, on Monday, to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Gross revenue is estimated at $4.516 billion and net revenue at $3.52 billion, while operating profit, excluding depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) at $123.92 million and operating profit (EBIT) at $38.855 million.

Also, the shareholders voted in the AGOA of April 26, the company’s production program, as well as the investment plan for 2024.

The amount of raw materials expected to be processed this year exceeds 4.956 million tons/year, of which almost 4.65 million tons of crude oil per year and 306,319 tons/year of other raw materials. The quantity processed by the Vega Refinery is expected to be 4133,137 tons of raw materials/year.

The production obtained by the Petrochimie plant is estimated at 146,130 tons of polymers per year, of which polypropylene (PP) 79,690 tons/year and high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) 66,440 tons/year.

The total value of Rompetrol Rafinare’s investments for the year 2024 would be 147.929 million dollars, the report also mentions.

Rompetrol Rafinare, a member of KMG International, operates the Petromidia Năvodari refineries, which includes the Petrochemical Division, and the Vega Ploiesti refinery.

The company’s shares have been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since April 2004. The main shareholders are KMG International, with 48.1136% of the shares, and the Romanian state, through the Ministry of Energy, with 44.6959%.
