ROMANIA: Romania will host the first regional event dedicated to the construction of energy production capacities from renewable sources

South East Europe Green EPC takes place on September 12, in Bucharest and will be held under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Energy. Representatives of the regulatory and energy transport authorities from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia and Montenegro will be present. EPC companies will meet investors and project developers from Spain, Austria, France, Germany and Poland.
Romania’s role in the development of new energy production capacities from renewable sources and its contribution to the regional interconnection of energy transmission networks are the topics that will be discussed at the first regional event dedicated to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) companies. South East Europe Green EPC will take place on September 12, in Bucharest, Sheraton hotel, starting at 9.00 am. The event is held under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Energy and will have as speakers energy authorities from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
Around 250 representatives from investment and EPC companies, renewable energy project developers, network builders, financiers and consultants will attend the event.
At the opening of the conference, Sebastian Burduja, Minister of Energy, Valeriu Steriu, member of the ANRE regulatory committee, Violina Șpac, Director of the ANRE Board of Directors, Republic of Moldova, Iulian Iancu, energy expert and Elena Markova, ANRE representative from Macedonia, will be present north. Authorities in the region will discuss the harmonization of secondary legislation and the integration of balancing markets. The purpose of the debates is to facilitate competition and identify concrete measures to accelerate the development of investments in renewable energy.
The event will bring investors and EPC companies on the same stage to discuss project optimization and performance enhancement in the construction of renewable energy production capacities. Liviu Simion, President of PSC, Elad Michaeli – VP of Global Operations Nofar, Anamaria Acristini, Country Manager BayWa re Romania, Cristi Andrei, General Director of HVAC Systems, Robert Kendressy, Country Manager Solax Power, Cristian Dragomir, CEO WALDEVAR Energy and Andrei Berechet – CCO Adrem will detail the construction stages of a project and present case studies of successful projects carried out in Romania and in the region.
The bankability of the projects and the sources of financing will be presented by Daniel Kockisch- Senior Investment Officer IFC – International Finance Corporation, Corina Vulpeș, Director of the Department of Institutional Relations and with the Business Environment Exim Banca Românească and Laura Tănase, CFO Monsson Trading.
The representatives of the relevant associations will present the plans of the investors in the production of energy from renewable sources. George Agafiței, President of RWEA and Martin Moise, First Vice-President of PATRES are among the speakers of the event. The debates on the digitization, modernization and expansion of energy distribution and transmission networks will be initiated by Daniela Daraban, Executive Director of ACUE, together with co-panelists Ondrej Safar, CEO of Evryo and Gabriela Orman, Director of the Regulatory Division and Asset Management of Distribution Energie Electrică Romania. Last but not least, the event will also address the topic of the specialized workforce in the field of energy production, a detailed topic by Sebastian Enache, Renewable Energy School of Skills.
