ROMANIA: A Romanian company won the contract for the design and execution of the Pipirig-Vânători Neamț highway lot – Grindeanu

A Romanian company has won the contract for the design and construction of the Pipirig – Vânători Neamț (Leghin) lot of the Târgu Mureș-Târgu Neamț motorway section, announced the Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, on Monday.

‘The constructor for another lot of the A8 (Union Motorway) has been appointed. A Romanian company has won the contract for the design and construction of the Pipirig – Vânători Neamț (Leghin) lot of the Târgu Mureș-Târgu Neamț motorway section,’ Grindeanu wrote on his Facebook page.

The contract worth 2.69 billion lei (excluding VAT), launched in a tender by the National Company for the Administration of Road Infrastructure, provides for the construction of this lot within 48 months (of which 12 months for the design period and 36 months for the execution of the works).

The contract, financed by the Transport Program (PT) 2021-2027, can be signed within 10 days, if no objections are filed.

According to the general director of CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, the contract for the construction of the Pipirig – Vânători Neamț lot was won by the Spedition UMB company.

7 tunnels (5 bidirectional and 2 unidirectional) will also be built on the route, with a total length of 1.44 km, namely:
bidirectional tunnel (490 m) located near the town of Pîțîligeni; unidirectional tunnel on track 1 (90 m) located near the town of Pîțîligeni; bidirectional tunnel (70 m) located near the towns of Pîțîligeni-Stînca; bidirectional tunnel (130 m) located near the towns of Pîțîligeni-Stînca; one-way tunnel on track 1 (80 m) located near the towns of Pîțîligeni-Stănca; two-way tunnel (300 m) located near the town of Stânca; two-way tunnel (280 m) located near the town of Stânca, Pistol stated on Facebook.
