Rețele Electrice România launches a tender of up to 180 million lei for connection works

Rețele Electrice România launched, on the electronic public procurement platform SEAP, a public tender with a maximum value of about 180 million lei (excluding VAT), for the executing customer connection works to the distribution networks managed by the company.

Following this purchase, the contractors will receive orders for the construction of medium and low voltage electrical installations, as a result of connection requests from users.

The works concerned include the connection to the grid of new consumption and/or production sites, the modification of existing connection installations, as well as works to free up the sites affected by the electrical infrastructure.

The project also includes extensions of the installations of Rețele Electrice România, the execution of medium and low voltage overhead and underground power lines, the construction of overhead connections and transformer substations, the construction of substations and supply points in civil or independent buildings, works on the of the IT/MV transformer stations, as well as the restoration of the surfaces in the public domain that will be affected by these interventions.

The duration of the contract is 60 months, and the deadline for submitting bids is May 28, 2025.

Rețele Electrice România assumes responsibility for environmental protection by applying a certified management system, which aims to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. The company responsibly manages the waste resulting from the electricity distribution activity, complying with the legislation in force and its own integrated system, ensuring their reuse, recovery or disposal through authorized economic operators.

During all stages of execution of the works awarded following the tender, the applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the field of environmental protection will be strictly observed, as well as the relevant standards in force.

The company Rețele Electrice Romania operates networks with a total length of about 134,000 kilometers in three major areas of the country: Muntenia Sud (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one third of the local distribution market, and develops an investment program to improve the quality of services, safety and performance of the networks and local implementation of the environmental standards of the PPC Group. The electricity networks operated by Rețele Electrice Romania include 289 primary stations and over 25,000 secondary substations.
