Electrica has mandated major banks to discuss with investors a possible green bond issue

Electrica has mandated BCR, BNP Paribas, Citi, ING, JP Morgan and Raiffeisen Bank to organize meetings with investors for a potential inaugural issue of green bonds in euros, the company says

“Electrica, informs investors about the mandate granted to Banca Comerciale Romane S.A., member of Erste Group (“BCR”), BNP PARIBAS, CITI, ING, J.P. Morgan and Raiffeisen Bank International as Joint Global Coordinators and Joint Bookrunners, and BT Capital Partners, IMI-Intesa Sanpaolo, Societe Generale and UniCredit as Joint Bookrunners to organize a series of meetings with fixed income investors starting with Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in connection with a potential inaugural “EUR Green benchmark Reg S only unsecured” bond issue that may follow, subject to market conditions”, Electrica said.

The bonds, if issued, are expected to be rated by Fitch and are intended to be:

“Electrica has also published the Green Framework Agreement and the independent opinion of Sustainable Fitch (Second Party Opinion), which are available on its website here. BNP Paribas and ING acted as Joint Structurers in establishing the framework,” the company added.
