The company that manages the Therme relaxation center in the north of Bucharest received the authorization to set up a 2.5 MWp photovoltaic power plant with storage, a project partially financed by PNRR.

“The establishment authorization requested by the company THERME NORD BUCUREȘTI SRL for the realization of the new energy capacity of the Centrala Electrică Fotovoltaica (CEF) Balotești”. This is one of the decisions taken by the Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) in yesterday’s Regulatory Committee meeting. At the moment ANRE issues the establishment authorization, the project developer must prove that he has the financing for the construction of the energy capacity, so, most likely, this project will be one of those that will be completed and produce electricity.

In fact, the photovoltaic plant, which has a capacity of 2.5 MWp and comes with a 0.5 MWh battery, a project with a total value of 2.24 million euros, is one of the projects financed by PNRR.

The plant is being built by the Romanian company Enevo, which won the tender organized in this regard.

The company that manages the relaxation center based on thermal waters Therme Bucharest reported, for the year 2022 (the latest for which there is data), business of 175 million lei and a profit of 10 million lei.
